It's been a long time since I have written! Tanner is 5 1/2 months old. Its amazing how fast time flies and how much he has changed.

Current Tanner Info:
Weight - at least 15lbs (he hasn't been to the pediatrician since 4 month appt) We will get another official weight at his 6 month appt on 12/11
Length- Not sure but he was 26.5 in (80%) at 4 months!
Clothes- Mostly 6 month but he does have a few 9 month things that fit!
Diapers- Size 2
Sleeping- in his own room since 4.5 months! He is doing great! Most nights he wakes up just once. He goes down about 9 am, wakes up to eat about 1-3am and then sleeps till 7-9 am.
Eating- Nursing during the day every 2-3 hours. We have tried rice cereal and he liked it the first few times but now not so much. I am going to try real food soon. Im thinking we will start with carrots or sweet potato. I plan on making my own baby food for him.
Milestones- He is a rolling machine! He is also sitting by himself buts tips over often. He also gets up on all 4's and rocks back and forth. I think we are getting close to crawling.
Favorite Things- He loves loves loves his baby einstein piano and really anything that plays music. He also really likes his small sock monkey stuffed animal Nonna got him. We are pretty sure his favorite color is red right now. He also has a blast in his exersaucer.

He is such an amazing kiddo! He is almost always smiling, laughing, and just in an all round in a good mood.
Pictures from in the hospital through 5 Months - He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!

So much has happened since my last post. My sweet little boy is already 5 weeks old! I can't believe how fast time flies.

Birth Story
I went to the hospital on Monday June 3rd around 9pm to get induced. Shortly after receiving my first dose of medication Tanner's heart rate dropped. He continued to have decelerations with contractions throughout the night. The doctors and I decided that we should just be safe and deliver him via c-section since he was not tolerating the contractions at all. He was born at 9:37am and was just perfect weighing 6 lbs 11 ounces and 18.5 inches long. I was so glad we had the c-section because it turned out his cord was around his neck which explained all the troubles he had with his heart rate throughout the night.

Tanner's First Picture!!!!!!

I was so big no wonder the doctors though Tanner would be large!

First Doctor Appt - 6 days old
Tanner left the hospital 6 lbs 3 ounces (Friday) and by Monday he weighed 6 lbs 8 ounces. The pediatrician was so pleased he said that I didn't have to wake him up to eat at night anymore!

2 Week Appt
Sweet boy weighed 7 lbs 1 ounce and was 20 inches! I couldn't believe how much he had grown. He got an A+ for health and we don't have to be back for another checkup until his 2 month appt. Tanner also had his first bath this week. He loves the water!!! I knew he would because both Kris and I love the water. I can't wait till next summer when we have a water baby, we will be in the pool all the time.

Newborn Photoshoot
Tanner did great at his newborn shoot, he even peed and pooped on the photographer a few times!  I just love the pictures that she took and will defiantly use her again for his 6 month photos. The following pics are my favorite from the session.

1 Month Old- July 4th

We took Tanner to the lake house  to see his Grand Dad for the 4th. His Grand Dad Dale's birthday is July 5th so we had a little bday party for both Dale and Tanner. We had so much fun at the lake and Tanner was totally spoiled the whole time.

My little man is so serious!

I love his little face in this pic.

Today we had our last OB appointment before Tanner arrives! We made a plan to induce on Tuesday 6/4 if he doesn't come before then. Having a set date is very exciting but makes us very anxious at the same time.
Kris and I opted to get induced at 39 weeks because he is on the larger side (7 lbs 1 ounce last week), I am so uncomfortable, and we can barely stand to wait any longer to meet him.
If Tanner gains weight like they predict, which is about 1/2 lb a week we are looking at a 8 lb munchkin next Tuesday.
I hope all goes well with the induction- but vaginal delivery or c-section I don't care as long as we end up with a healthy baby boy in the end.

Kris and I are bringing some baby pictures of ourselves to compare to Tanner when he arrives, but so far it looks like he may take after me!

3D Sono Pictures- 29 weeks

One of my christmas gifts was 3D/4D sono pictures. The experience was really cool because we got to see our little man moving around and get a good idea of what he looks like. Here are a few of the pictures. I just love his chubby cheeks and perfect little lips.
